First off, we would like to thank everyone that stepped up this year to coach, convene, manage, safety officer, referee, time keep and tournament chair. Every year it is a struggle shared amongst many different organizations to find volunteers. Without you this year, we wouldn’t have been able to have such a successful season and this didn’t go unnoticed. (Read more...)
We have decided to start the process now to start trying to have positions filled throughout The Pas Minor Hockey Association. Attached at the bottom of this email there is an application for Coaching and one for Convener. Please feel free to apply for any of these positions for the 2023/2024 season. The process may involve an interview with a selection committee and we are trying to have head coaches and conveners for each level as well as first team Rep Coaches in place by May 31st. If you are the successful candidate, then you will be requested to complete your Criminal Record Check (CRC) and Child Abuse Registry (CAR) prior to being on the ice in the new season.
The main reason for wanting this completed by May 31st is that it will allow us to concentrate on the start-up at registration and everything will start in better shape. It will also allow us to know what area needs the most assistance as every year we have new coaches or conveners joining and we can lend more help to these people. We also want everyone to know that we will not be opening registration for an age group until there is a Head Coach and a Convener in place for that level. So it is vital that if you had intentions to help out in any way that you apply now so we can provide the best program for your player.
At this point in time, we will start taking applications for Head Coach for each level, Head Coaches for Rep as well as Conveners. If you are even just looking to coach at a House League level, don’t hesitate to apply. The more options that we can have can only make things run smoother and that will only benefit who we are all here for, our players.
Any questions on any of the above, please reach out to an executive member.
