In a close game, The Pas Huskies Novice handed a loss to The Pas Female Atom 3 - 1 at RHJA on Friday. Neither team managed to put points on the board in the first period. Both teams scored one goal in the second period and remained tied. The end of the second period saw both teams at one goal a piece. The Pas Huskies Novice added two straight goals in the third period to break the tie and take the lead, grabbing a late victory.

In the second period, The Pas Female Atom put points on the board with their game when Ella Nagle put the puck between the pipes with 5:01 left on the clock. Amanda Marin got the assist on the goal. The Pas Huskies Novice's Connor Colgan got the unassisted goal with 1:45 left in the period, tying the score. In the third period, piling on, Keestin Danielson put the biscuit over the goal line without any assistance with 9:10 left on the clock, pulling ahead for the win. Piercing though the defense, Connor Colgan put the puck between the pipes with 6:28 left in the period. Jack Werstroh (G) got the assist on the goal, to get further ahead.

Displaying offensive skills, Connor Colgan made two goals for The Pas Huskies Novice. Keestin Danielson contributed one goal for The Pas Huskies Novice. Werstroh (G) added one assist for The Pas Huskies Novice.

Ella Nagle contributed one goal for The Pas Female Atom.

In the crease, The Pas Huskies Novice's Jackson Prokopow (G) got no saves on one shots to earn the win. In goal, The Pas Female Atom's Makenna Blacksmith (G) had zero saves on three shots on goal for the loss.

This was the season opener for both The Pas Female Atom and The Pas Huskies Novice.
