Shutting out the competition, Swan River Stampeders overcame The Pas Huskies Novice 5 - zip at RHJA on Saturday. Swan River Stampeders chalked up two goals to take the lead in the first period. Swan River Stampeders gained two unanswered goals in the second period and held on to its lead. The Swan River Stampeders defense took over in the final period. In the final period Swan River Stampeders scored one goal sealing the deal and winning the game.

Swan River Stampeders's Sabrina Kopecky netted two goals for Swan River Stampeders. Swan River Stampeders's Kopecky put the biscuit into the net with 13:23 left in the first period with an assist from Bryn Zamzow. Continuing their roll, Kopecky scored a second goal with 9:19 left in the third period. Lauren Klatt got the assist on this goal.

In the crease, Swan River Stampeders's Hannah Kitch blocked no shots to take the win. In goal, The Pas Huskies Novice's Jackson Prokopow (G) had no saves on five shots on goal to suffer the loss.

This was the first game of the season for Swan River Stampeders.
